Made From Scratch

We launched Serene Kitchen Co. with the singular mission of bringing the joy that is cooking with custom-quality knives into as many kitchens as possible.

Our Process

There are two categories of knives: mass produced and handmade. One is rote and impersonal, the other is prohibitively expensive. We’ve created a third option for those who want the premium quality without the exorbitant cost.

Take a look inside our Chicago workshop to see how we’re bringing batch-produced knives to the culinary world.

In 2003 we forged a friendship over a shared passion for knives.

In 2003 we forged a friendship over a shared passion for knives. This passion turned into a company committed to putting good tools into good hands. Our refusal to compromise on quality, sharpness, and durability resulted in an entirely re-imagined approach to the way knives are made. Building a new manufacturing process from scratch isn’t easy, but bringing serenity to everyday cooking is completely worth it.
